In case you haven’t been following my life lately on Insta Story, let me get you up to speed 😉 The kids and I just returned from a summer spent on the lake at my parent’s home in Georgia…and it was hea-ven. Picture above are the 2 items I had within 2 feet of me allllll Summer long…my sweet tea and my SUN BUM…and really, what more does one need in life?! #LakeLife
Okay ladies…is anyone else in denial that school starts up in a little over a week?! (For us FL moms, anyway!) We haven’t stopped shopping and prepping and unpacking and planning since we got back from #LakeLife and it’s like…can’t I just go back to sleeping in, living in my bathing suit, and cruising on the boat all day?!
Story time: So, I was in line at the grocery store with the kiddos the other day and the woman behind me asked, “Bet you’re ready for them to go back to school, aren’t you?!” To which I replied “Quite the opposite…I’m going to miss having them home with me!” Then she laughed and told me she didn’t believe me, which totally surprised me, because I assumed every mom loved having their kiddos home with them all day like me?! Honestly, I love having the kids home with me. I’m soaking up every last minute of Summer vacation with them before I have a 2nd grader and a 4th grader!
Speaking of the kids going back to school, it’s about to get BUSY, so my go-to, no-thinking-required-but-still-cute-outfit is a: JUMPSUIT. You have a whole outfit, all in one piece! Throw it on, and you’re out the door! Which is just one less thing to worry about when you already have homework and lunches and playdates and sports games piling up on your to-do list 😉
