Giving Back with Amazon this Season

My favorite season is upon us. I have always declared my birthday, November 1, the official beginning of the holiday season. We will listen to Christmas music, the kids will start making their Christmas list, and squeal with excitement when we start seeing decorations going up all over town. Although, Audrey has Dolly Parton’s Christmas album on repeat already. In my opinion, everything about this season is the absolute best. And I am thrilled the kids share the excitement that I have had instilled in me since I was a child.
With the holiday season also comes a time of reflection in just how we have been blessed beyond measure. We continue to emphasize to the kids how fortunate we are to be able to have our health, a home, clothes, and toys to open on Christmas morning. Not everyone has this luxury. Every year, we try to make a point to the kids of how important it is to think about others during the holiday season. It is so easy to get swept up in the busyness of the season, all of our wants, and the excitement. I always want the kids to know what this season is truly about and put our words into action by giving back to those who aren’t as fortunate. Being able to help and give to others is what life is not only this season is about, but life!
