There are many days when you will find me with a huge messy bun on top of my head. I will get a ton of compliments on my top-knot, when in reality I am on my last and final days before I have to wash my hair. I will typically laugh and let them know I haven’t washed my hair in 2 weeks. Then they just laugh and think I am kidding. Which I am totally not kidding. LOL If I can stretch washing my hair up to 2 weeks, I am a happy camper. I know, I know… that sounds crazy, but it can take me up to 30 minutes just to blow dry my hair! That doesn’t include washing time. It is such a process for me, I will stretch the time between washings as long as I can.
Dry shampoo can be a time saver and is so convenient. Less shampoo means healthier hair! And who doesn’t want healthier it? It will help keep your hair healthy by cutting the times you have to wash your hair. Which means less stripping of the oils and exposure to heat from your blow drying and styling your hair. Dry shampoo can also regulate oil production and to boot it adds volume and texture to styling your hair.
So I have written out the steps to help you apply the Dry Shampoo. Hopefully it will help eliminate any mistakes like I have made in the past!
How To Use Dry Shampoo
Step: 1 Spray about 6 inches from root.
To start, spray the dry shampoo approximately 6 inches from the root. You only need to concentrate on the front sections of your hair. Or where you feel your hair is the oiliest. Divide your hair into a couple sections and then spray.
Step 2: Diffuse it with your blowdryer or massage your scalp with your fingers.
Once you have sprayed the dry shampoo into your divided sections, wait a few minutes letting the shampoo dry and settle into your scalp. You will want to use your diffuser on your blowdryer or you can just simply massage your scalp with your fingertips. This will help with absorbing all of the excess oil on your scalp, especially if you feel you have greasy roots.
Step 3: Brush your Hair and Style
Once you feel the shampoo is dry and evenly distributed, you will want to brush your hair out. Then proceed to style your hair however you wish.
Use dry shampoo everyday or every other day when you don’t wash your hair. I would use it in the morning before you begin to style your hair. The dry shampoo soaks up excess oil and gives you volume.

LIVING PROOF PERFECT DRY SHAMPOO
I went to a “Favorite’s Party” the other night. So first, what is a “Favorite’s Party?” We each had to bring one of our tried and true favorites to share with the group. We would explain our favorite item and why it was our tried and true. When then exchanged each of our items. One of the girls at the party brought Living Proof’s Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo . She testified how she had tried so many brands of dry shampoo and this one was her absolute go-to favorite. It just solidified what I already knew, it is one of the best dry shampoos. This one was hers (and mine) all time obsession.
There are so many dry shampoos to try! So which one is best? I have tried a few and researched reviews. I have listed the ones I believe are the top 5. Between me quizzing my hairdresser, my friends, and researching reviews.
