A couple of weeks ago the kids were shooting some hoops in the front yard. Audrey grabbed the ball and shot it and made 5 baskets in a row. I was pretty much in awe of her. I said, Audrey! You need to play basketball. She quickly informed me that she was NOT an athlete. This coming from the girl who won the most push-ups last year in P.E. I didn’t know how to respond. She loves to give me these mini-lectures. Within her lecture, I was able to hear her explanation of why she is not an athlete ending with I get too hot and sweaty. Which this explanation should not surprise me. After I have run 3.5 miles pushing her in the stroller and B has biked along with me. She is the one saying she is hot and sweaty. And the only reason she was convinced to play soccer was that she could get ALL pink equipment!
Once she started playing soccer this season she was determined to get a goal. She would inform us ever game how close she came. Well, this past weekend her determination paid off! She not only kicked one goal but TWO!! If you watched the video on Instagram, you are sure to hear how excited her entire cheering section was. We were so loud the whole team stopped and stared at us!
