Mother’s Day can have different meanings to everyone, but it holds a special place in my heart because I discovered on Mother’s Day that I was going to be a mom for the second time! I am so thankful I am called to be Brydon and Audrey’s mom. Each day with them is a gift, and I do not take it for granted. I know Mother’s Day is typically a day for mom doing what she loves, but my favorite days are spent with my kiddos doing what they love!
There is so much going on this time of year, so for me, it is a gift just to have a day where there is no guilt for not having a clean house, and I have an excuse to skip loads of laundry (one of my least favorite chores) for the day. There are so many ways to make moms feel loved on Mother’s Day, from the gift of quality time spent together to items you know are on her wishlist that she’d never buy for herself.

Time is the one thing that doesn’t cost a penny. I know you must get tired of me saying this, but this time is so fleeting, and it will be gone before I know it. I honestly try and savor every moment. We get so busy, it is easy to let the time pass and not make space for quality time together. But honestly, that’s what this life is all about.
