TOPSHOP GREY TEE | LEVI’S | JCREW TEE
I thought it would be fun for y’all to learn a little bit about my husband, Kris! So I had him answer the following questions and his answers are completely unedited! (Cue panic.) We have been together for almost 20 years since we first met on a blind date! Wow, it is seriously crazy seeing that in black and white! We have worked hard together, cried together (ok, mostly me crying) and laughed a ton together. My goal many days is to make him laugh. And many times I have to remind him that I am, in fact, funny 😉 He works so hard for our family and it is amazing to see these two beautiful lives we have created. And we are so very blessed every day we have together. Even if I forget to tell him, I am so thankful for him!
On to the fashion side of having a hubby, obviously I shop for him. Even if I would rather poke my eyes out some days than shop with him. Sounds dramatic, I know! I also pack for him as well EVERY TIME he has a trip! Even this past July when I was in Georgia and he still at home, I spent 2 hours on FaceTime with him trying to tell him what to pack! So, if you want to see some of the things I love for him I have linked them after his “interview!”. Enjoy!
Get to Know The Hubs: Meet Kris
What do you think about me that I am not good at? Really, the first question!!!! I truly do not focus on the things you are not good at, I choose to put my attention and focus on the things you are good at. If pressed, you have a hard time saying “NO” to people when it comes to time. However, I really do not think I want her to change.
1. What do you think about me that I am good at?
Being a great wife, mom, and friend. She is good at getting me to talk. She is great at providing a different perspective on issues from life, friendship, marriage, and parenting.
2. What are the favorite features that related to your spouse?
Yay, this is a fun one. Her Smile, Hair, and butt 🙂
3. What do you both argue about the most?
Where to eat, hahahahaha. Or, How big of a Christmas tree we are getting.
4. When did you first know you loved me?
On the way home from our first date. True Story! However, it took me 3 months to tell her how I felt. I know, I am a chicken. Right?
5. Based on our marriage experiences, what advice would you give people who are dating?
If you think “she or he” is the one, find a counselor and/or Church who can offer a marriage preparation class/course. I found this to be invaluable and offered a way to discuss things you may not have thought were important. The people, instructors, counselors, and pastors that facilitate these see many other couples, speak from experience, and wisdom.
6. What is your biggest dream?
Seeing what God has planned for Brydon and Audrey’s lives. Helping Mandy fulfill her dream.
7. What character traits do you strive for most?
Being a good example.
8. How are we different?
You know how to relax, I don’t. We’re a great balance for each other there.
9. How are we similar?
Our views on all major things are the same. Our parenting philosophy is the same. We love the water, being active, and Ice-cream!
10. What do I do that makes you feel most loved?
Hold my hand
11. What’s the best surprise you have ever received?
We have memory boxes. The boxes hold tickets to places/things we have done, photos, brochures, and so on. Mandy made a large collage of from the memories in one of the boxes. It was special because it reminds me of the memories we share and I know how hard it was for her to make it without me knowing.
12. Has unresolved conflict damaged our relationship in the past?
Yes, and it was from me not wanting to talk. You must communicate!
13. What makes you the most fulfilled or happiest as a wife/husband?
Getting alone time together. Seeing Brydon and Audrey make good choices.
14. What do you believe to be your gifts/talents?
My ability to listen
15. What’s your favorite outfit I wear?
Well, I think my wife is extremely sexy. So, bathing suits, workout clothes, and flattering dresses.
