I will never forget Kris and I’s first Valentine’s day together. We were living in Gainesville and he made a reservation at a swanky Italian restaurant. Looking back we were so young, all dressed up and so in love (we still are, but you know not a care in the world kind of love). Well after a 3 hour wait, Kris’s googly eyes turned into hangry eyes. I think the kid could have spit nails if he wanted to. We didn’t finish dinner til midnight. I remember thinking I cannot believe I am eating dinner at 11:30 at night. To say the least, that was the first time he took me out to dinner for Valentine’s and the absolute last. I still love Valentine’s day. Who doesn’t love the color combo or red and pink? And of course candy hearts don’t hurt!
There are so many reasons to dress festive on Valentine’s Day! You could be having a Galentine’s dinner with your best gal pals, headed to your kiddo’s Valentine’s Day party, your love could be taking you out to a fancy dinner, or just staying in to watch a romantic comedy with your Valentine. We fall into the latter category after our first Valentine’s! Either way, I am a bit obsessed with dressing the part for Valentine’s Day. I mean as soon as Christmas is over, Audrey is in some kind of variation of pink and red, heart leggings, and tutus until February 14. She looks pretty dang cute if you ask me, and there are so many options for us mommas to get into the festive spirit. Here is some inspiration for cute outfits that will get you through no matter how you are celebrating the day!
Cute Outfits For Valentine’s Day
Pajamas
This is what the Cox Clan will be wearing as they celebrate! We will be eating all the Chick-Fil-A and cozied up on the couch. After the kiddos go down, Kris and I will pop some popcorn add a few candy hearts in it and watch a Romantic comedy!
Active wear
Let’s be honest, this is what I will be wearing Valentine’s Day! I mean why break the trend of every other day? Ha! Thank goodness for fun and comfy active wear. I don’t know what us mommas would do without it! From running all the errands before your kiddo’s Valentine’s Day party to setting it up. We can be cute and comfy. But seriously, how cute are these TEREZ LEGGINGS??? I am obsessed. They even have the TOP to match. And I would be getting these MONROW LEGGINGS if they had my size. So someone please grab them and send me a pic! They are to die for!
Flirty top
I love a feminine and flirty top paired with HIGH-WAISTED DENIM. This look will take you to brunch with the girls or out to dinner with your hubby. Honestly it is one of my Go-To looks when I don’t know if an event is casual or dressy. If Kris was taking me out I would either wear one of the following outfits:
- H&M SATIN TOP in Black with AGOLDE BLACK DENIM and pop of red with these FP SHOES
- LACE TOP with my favorite AGOLDE DENIM and wear this MAC LIPSTICK
Dress
If your hubby or significant other is taking you out, I’ve got you covered with some of the most perfect dresses for your date night. I LOVE a good reason to get all dressed up and Valentine’s Day is the ideal excuse to take advantage to do just that. This MISA DRESS is a steal, and would be perfect for a Spring or Summer wedding as well!
Cozy Sweater
Even though I feel it has been unseasonably cool here in Florida, it will probably be in the 80’s on Valentine’s Day. So as much as I love and want to buy each and every one of these sweaters, I will have to opt for a cooler outfit. So many good ones scattered with hearts and a pop of red! If you’re lucky to live in an area with cooler temps, these sweaters will let everyone know you’re celebrating all day long!
Accessories
These accessories will add an extra little pop of love, get your lips kissable, and your eyes fashionable. I ordered these HEART SUNNIES, identical to the YSL PAIR and cannot wait to wear them. Audrey will probably try to steal them!
